The 7-Day In Your Equation Challenge

intheequation-summermountain-lorischaeferJuly 19-25, 2013

Okay, peeps. It’s accountability time. For me and for you! After a short period of “slippage” on life with Lori-in-the-equation, it’s time to restart. To get back in the center of the equation and with my health and wellness goals top of mind. Who’s with me?!

Today, I issued a 7-day In Your Equation Challenge. To accept the challenge and participate, you must commit to being 100% all in on being in your equation – whatever that means to you. It can be as detailed and specific as you like. But, perhaps most importantly, it affords you the opportunity to think about and define what being in your equation really means…to you. How do you best honor yourself and meet your health and wellness needs?

I am going to ask you to define and communicate your 7-Day In the Equation Challenge non-negotiables here in the comments section or ask to join our private Facebook group and post there (about 120 people in the group). This is so we can hold each other accountable and truly support each other in this endeavor. None of us has to go it alone!

Today, we restart together. And it starts with me. I have let things slide a bit around the edges in terms of keeping myself in my equation. And it was evidenced by my physical body telling me so, and my day yesterday where I let other people mess with my foundation of happiness. So, I decided to “restart” and to do so publicly, asking those of you who also need a kick in the pants to join me.

You can do anything for 7 days right? Right?! Are you in?! If you choose to join the challenge, post your non-negotiables here in the comments section and give us your first name. And/or ask to join our private Facebook group, friend me on Facebook and I will invite you to the group.

Here is my Lori in the equation non-negotiable list.

1) Clean Nutrition – 100% on target with my food plan (including no refined sugar and no alcohol)

2) Drink a minimum of 1 gallon of water per day

3) Walk every day and strength training 5x;

4) Sleep 6-7 hours minimum; and

5) Stay grounded in self awareness every day. Don’t allow others/stress to mess with my solid foundation of happiness.

So, who is in for the 7-day In Your Equation Challenge and what are your non-negotiables? Join me in putting yourself in the equation and this time going 100% all in, and let’s support each other and share what happens!

Lori

P.S. Cheers and best of luck to Jodi Petrich, Marketing that Matters teammate, who is running the Tough Mudder tomorrow! I figure if Jodi can do this, I do a simple 7-Day Challenge! 🙂 Have fun, Jods! Anyone done one? Any advice for Jodi post away.

    Hi Lori,

    I am definitely in on your challenge! I can definitely match your Steps with a bit of the exercise transition to swimming! I reached a milestone this week losing 51 pounds and a third of my goal! I am determined and want you to know that even though I am kind of silent on this end, you are very inspiring and I so appreciate the time and work you put into providing such wonderful support to others! ThankYou! Karen
