Gone walkin…back soon
Hi all. I am writing from sunny Santa Barbara, CA, where I am on a girls weekend trip to celebrate my birthday, Valentine’s Day, get a break from winter and feed my soul! Yay!!!
I am not sure when this blog post will actually get published…so bear with me. I’ll be back right after a little hiatus to have fun and, well, celebrate me!
I intend to walk the beaches of Santa Barbara every morning. It is one of the true joys in my life – walking along the ocean for miles with the sound of the crashing waves around me, experiencing the personality of the beaches and the communities, and becoming truly aware of my surroundings. Living in the moment and no where else. It is here that I am truly one with my soul, my thoughts, my centeredness. It is my happiest place on earth. And the best thing I can do to feed my soul – followed closely by climbing mountains.
While I am away, I ask you to think about what feeds your soul? Where is your happy place? And how and when can you get there – even if it is in your mind? Or, if it is not a physical place, how can you make it happen? Finally, if you could do cardio anywhere in the world, where would it be?! Ha. 😉
I would love to hear from you. In the meantime, check out these photos from my favorite beach thus far in Santa Barbara Hendry Beach. This will be my morning cardio go to spot. I can already tell.
Happy traveling. Catch ya on the flip side!

Beautiful! Ocean beach really cannot be beat for place to walk/run. The ocean is like a soul massage.
I like any beach to run/walk/explore on. But my FAVORITE place to do cardio is not a where it is with a who. I like to be with people – my kids, my husband, my friends when I do my exercise (or anything else, really). If it is on a beach, a trail, or a park then that’s a bonus!
Good answer. I love to do cardio both by myself on occasion and with those I love, like. 🙂
forgot to say…. I love to do cardio in a studio with LOTS of people all “dancing” together 🙂
Yes, you do! And occasionally I like to be one of those “dancers.”
